“OFFICERS REMEMBERED”

A Benefit Event for the Families of the fallen Oakland Police Officers

ALAMEDA, California –Monday, May 18, 2009,  6:30pm – 10:00pm  guests are invited to join the Alameda Theatre & Cineplex for an event benefiting the families of the four fallen Oakland Police Officers.  This red carpet event, on the eve of National EMS Week, honors Alameda County Emergency Medical Services and the recently lost heroes of the Oakland Police Department with an evening of celebration and appreciation for those who serve.  

Pit Stop BBQ of Livermore in association with US Food Service will keep with true Firefighter tradition by donating chili and cornbread to be served by Firefighters in the Theatre lobby.  Burgermeister of Alameda will donate beer and guests will be offered tastings of fine wine donated by Rosenblum Cellars while being treated to the musical styling’s of guitar soloist, Chris Ahlman. 

Performing live on the *Historic Alameda Theatre stage at 8:00pm is local musical group “Conscious Souls”;  a popular bay area band comprised of Paramedics and Firefighters from Alameda County Fire.  Their original reggae, hip-hop and rock sound will entertain attendees prior to the World Premiere of  “LEVEL ZERO” a documentary film dedicated to the EMS professionals of Alameda County.

At 9:15pm, Paramedic and Director/Producer Thaddeus Setla will premier his new documentary film; “LEVEL ZERO”, focused on dedicated Bay Area EMS personnel, on and off the job protecting and serving the communities of Alameda County.  A question & answer segment will follow the film.

Step back in time for a vintage experience in the 1932 grandeur of the recently restored Historic *Alameda Theatre, 2317 Central Avenue, Alameda, CA.  

Event tickets include (2) drink coupons redeemable for wine or beer, a serving of chili & corn bread and admission to the concert and film world premiere.

 

Proceeds will benefit the Oakland Police Department Funds for Families of the Fallen Officers.

 

Free Parking available at the Civic Center Garage  -  Central Avenue and Oak Street.
