While the buzz of the trailer is out there the movie still has to be good! I am looking forward to getting this together and it is clear to me that there is a need to build positive PR in our industry. This event has sparked a few ideas about National EMS Week and I am throwing this out there for the Chiefs and Managers to think about. If we kicked off every year about this time with a movie from EMS for EMS, which we can begin producing immediately by the way, and hold the viewing of this movie at theaters all over the country, we could generate a lot of great publicity and support from the community. Wghile making the movie needs a budget, the proceeds of each of the premiere’s could generate money for different causes, or help fund other needed services in the community. Each year we can create a movie about a certain area and help promote their part of the country.
If we have 1000 agencies donating $100 each to make the movie, it is very affordable and easy PR every year to attach to. Given the right people in the industry this is a very doable project. Let me know your thoughts!
