Lisa has been in Alameda County for many years and when she describes what it is like to live and work in Oakland, you just sit and wonder how does she do it! An amazing woman!

Interview with Ray Ericson

Ray is an experienced Paramedic in Alameda County with his current assignment mainly in Oakland at night, he offers a sense of what the job is like in the 4th most dangerous city in the nation. While all of his experience has been in Alameda County he also volunteers with Search and Rescue and has taken multiple classes in high angle rescue, swift water rescue and more. He is a valuable member of our team here in Alameda County as he also gives back and teaches the new recruits as an FTO.

When we sat down with Lucinda she gave a unique look into working and living in Oakland. There are those days when you are out getting your cup of java and the person next to you was your patient or 5150 yesterday… you never know! She has worked as both an EMT and Paramedic in the system and breaks the mold for your typical Paramedic.
